For example, the Dutch company Schipholtaxi has 96 Tesla. In those two cases you speak of a reseller market.

The Tesla model S is not really adapted to the business markets. But because it is an electric car. It has tax advantage in a lot of countries. That why Tesla is used as a business car so often.

Tesla or mostly bought to replace the old business car. In marketing terms that is modified rebuy purchase

The buying center of the Tesla model S is most likely the one who is driver the car. As leasing of a Tesla start with a €1.092 a month (in the Nederland’s) (Leaseplan, n.d.)

week 1.2

Welcome back on the Tesla blog.

Tesla mission recently changed from. To speed up the process of sustainable transport with the mass producing electric powered cars. To their new mission:  To speed up the process of sustainable transport with the mass producing sustainable energy powered cars. So they left the word electric out. So that properly means that Tesla is not only focusing on electric powered cars anymore but as well on other sustainable energy!

A new huge competitor for Tesla?!

The biggest competitors of Tesla are the entry-luxury sedan gasoline powered cars. The Biggest competitors in the entry-luxury cars are the BMW 3 and 4 series, Cadillac ATS, Jaguar XE, Mercedes-Benz C – class, Audi A4, Volkswagen CC and the Volvo S60.

The biggest competitors in full Electric powered vehicles are the Honda Clarity, Toyota Mirai, BMW i8, Cadillac ELR, Mercedes Benz SLS AMG E-Cel, Porsche Mission E, Rimac one and Audi R8 E-tron

But now the new competitor for Telsa is LeEco! LeEco is a smartphone and smart television brand. They announced in May 2016 that they will start to make affordable full electric car. Their plan is to make a self-driving electric car which is affordable for normal consumers.

For now Tesla is doing great!
Tesla is not only the most sold electric vehicle but the Tesla Model is the most sold entry-luxury sedan in the US in 2015. So an electric entry-luxury sedan is the most sold entry-luxury sedan in the US so that’s looks promising! We will see what the new model 3 will do!

So the differential advantages of Tesla!
It was the first NOT boring electric car. The Tesla is ridiculously fast! The model S P90D acceleration from 0-60 miles per hour in just 2.8 seconds! Yes that is the fastest four door car in the world! A modern F1 car takes about 2.5 second to go form 0 to  0-60 miles per hour The Ferrari FXX Ezno 0 to 60 miles per hour is 2.8 sec!

So you don’t want to drive yourself? Buy a Tesla!
Tesla has one of the most advanced semi-Autonomous system there is.
Oke you still have to have your hand on your wheel and you are responsible if something goes wrong not Tesla.

Why does Tesla grow so fast.
Tesla is growing really fast  they grow by developing new products with innovating technologies. If you look at the Ansoff Matrix, Tesla’s growth strategy will be Product development.

About Tesla

Tesla Motors was founded in 2003 by a group of engineers in Silicon Valley. With Tesla Motors they wanted to prove that electric cars could be even better than standard gasoline-powered cars. With instant torque, incredible power, and zero emissions.

The first real production car from Tesla was the Tesla Roadster this was launched in 2008. Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.7 seconds and was able to ride
245 miles (395km) per charge of its lithium ion battery, the Roadster set a new standard for electric cars. Tesla sold more than 2,400 Roadsters, in more than 30 countries

In 2012, Tesla launched Model S, the world’s first premium electric sedan.

Model S has redefined the very concept of a four-door car. With room for seven passengers and more than 64 cubic feet of storage, Model S provides the comfort and utility of a family sedan while achieving the acceleration of a sports car.

In late 2014, Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled two dual motor all-wheel drive configurations of Model S. The 85D features a high efficiency motor at the front and rear,  achieving a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.2 seconds  the fastest four-door production car ever made.

Tesla’s Supercharger network provides high speed charging, replenishing half a charge in as little as 20 minutes.

Tesla is not just an automaker, but also a technology and design company with a focus on energy innovation.
